Crocs for every girl from Girls Inc. of NH thanks to partnership with Brady Sullivan
MERRIMACK, NH (September 14, 2023) – As the school year gets underway, 175 girls who participate in Girls Inc. of New Hampshire programs in Nashua and Manchester received a new pair of Crocs shoes, courtesy of Brady Sullivan Properties and Crocs.
On Tuesday, September 12, 85 girls from the Girls Inc. Nashua Center traveled by bus to the Crocs store at the Merrimack Premium Outlets where they had the opportunity to select their own pair of Crocs Classic Clogs in a color of their choosing. Sixty-five girls from the Girls Inc. Manchester Center enjoyed the same experience as their Nashua peers on September 13. Those who were unable to attend in person will also receive a pair of Crocs.
“This is a very special experience for all of us at Girls Inc. of New Hampshire; some of our kids are desperately in need of new shoes that fit, and these colorful, slip-on Crocs are super popular,” said Sharron McCarthy, CEO of Girls Inc. of New Hampshire. “This experience is a wonderful example of community support that is practical, memorable and generous. Kids don’t forget this kind of special VIP treatment and we know they will pay it forward in their own special way. There were lots of smiles here today!”
In addition to Girls Inc. staff members, several volunteers from Brady Sullivan Properties, including Principal Partner Arthur Sullivan, helped the girls select their Classic Clogs. Once they picked out their favorite pair, each girl proceeded to the check-out counter where Crocs cashiers recorded the “sale” and placed the shoes in a bag for the girls to carry home.
“When we learned that many of the Girls Inc. participants do not have a sufficient pair of shoes, we knew we had to help,” said Arthur Sullivan, Principal Partner of Brady Sullivan Properties. “Something as simple as a new pair of shoes, an item many of us take for granted, can help build confidence and we are proud to be able to provide this opportunity.”
In all, Brady Sullivan and Crocs combined to provide 175 pairs of shoes to Girls Inc. New Hampshire. Crocs donated 50 pairs and extended a 50% discount for the additional 125 pairs, all of which were paid for by Brady Sullivan Properties. Brady Sullivan also provided bus transportation to and from Merrimack for both groups.
“Like Girls Inc., we are passionate about supporting opportunities for girls to thrive. We are happy to provide these new Crocs to help the girls boldly embrace their freedom of expression, inspiring them to be their best, unique selves,” said Deanna Bratter, Vice President, Global Head of Sustainability & ESG, Crocs, Inc.
Crocs are fun, colorful and easy to care for, making them a perfect addition to the girls’ back-to-school wardrobe. The girls were grateful and excited as they returned to the bus with their new shoes packed and ready to take home.
